The iQ is the first multi-room audio system to fully deliver the liberating power of music server based listening. By coupling the brains of the system to the heart, the iQ system delivers unrivaled performance at a price level that is unmatched for a music server based system. The iQ System includes two key elements: The hard-disk-based iQ Intelligent Media Server, and the 16-channel iQ Intelligent Multiroom Amplifier. Just add in-wall, 3.5-inch full-color display touchpanels and 15-inch tabletop color touch screens to provide control of the system. Both deliver the intuitive command of the ReQuest operating system, with flexible access to browsing, searching, and managing the most extensive music collections.
At its heart, iQ is an eight-source system delivering superb audio playback to as many as eight independent zones. Using ReQuest's NetSync for iTunes software, an unlimited number of iTunes libraries can share music using the iQ music server as the central hub. Now, music previously locked in one family member's iTunes library is easily imported into another family member's iTunes library automatically. iQ is the only multiroom audio system that will share a music collection between multiple homes. Via ReQuest's patented NetSync technology, music from the primary residence is sent to the iQ system installed in a vacation home. Any changes made in the primary residence are immediately reflected in the second home. The entire system is also accessible from any internet connected computer. With this feature, music from the iQ can be streamed to any computer in the world, making a day at the office a little more pleasant.
